What should I do to prepare for my session?
Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to put on and take off and wear as little jewelry as possible.  This will make it quicker and easier for you at the beginning and end of the session.  Stay well hydrated.  Hydrated tissue retains the benefits of Orthopedic Massage Therapy and Rejuvenation and Sculpting longer.  If possible, don't use lotion the morning before your Orthopedic Massage Therapy session.  It doesn't mix well with the lubricants and can be sticky afterwards.

Must I be completely undressed?
Most Orthopedic Massage Therapy techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you what you want to wear.  For Facial Rejuvenation, only your neck, shoulders, face and head need to be exposed.  You should undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly draped during the entire session.  Disposable underwear are provided for Body Wraps, though you can wear your own if you prefer.  During Body Sculpting, only the part of the body to be sculpted need to be undressed.

Will the therapist be present when I disrobe?
The therapist will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table, and cover yourself with a sheet and blanket.

Will I be covered during the session?
You will be properly draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed.  The genital region is kept covered at all times.

What parts of my body will be treated?
Each session is designed specifically for you and your needs at that time.  Before you begin each session, your therapist will discuss recommendations and make sure you are comfortable with the planned treatment.

What does Facial Rejuvenation feel like?
Most people find Facial Rejuvenation sessions to be pleasant.  Falling asleep during this treatment isn't uncommon.  The negative pressure therapy/suction that takes place during the majority of the session is very gentle, since it lifts the tissue instead of compressing it.  The remainder of the session is completed with thermotherapy, often using hot balsamic stones and a cool masque.  If at any point you are uncomfortable, please let your therapist know.

What should I do during the session?
Find a comfortable position on the table.  Always feel free to ask the therapist any questions. During the session, the therapist will either gently move you or tell you what is needed throughout the treatment (such as lifting your arm). Many people just close their eyes and completely relax.  Others like to talk with the therapist about the treatment as it's occurring.  There's no wrong way.  This is your time, so do what makes you the most comfortable.

How will I feel after the Orthopedic Massage Therapy session?
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity.  Some people are sore for a couple of days after the treatment, as if they'd done a hard workout.  After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days.

What are the benefits of Orthopedic Massage Therapy?
Orthopedic Massage Therapy can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Orthopedic Massage Therapy is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.
